Monolith Soft announced a new Patch 1.4.0 for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. This one will come with the Poppi Buster and Rare Blades with T-elos (Xenosaga), among other changes. And to have it, you have to wait a bit until its launch date on April 27th in Japan.
Here’s the update details, via its official website
1. Poppi Buster
Poppi Buster is a Rare Blade that is only obtainable via the Expansion Pass. Designed by Masatsugu Saito, Poppi can be used as a blade for drivers other than Tora, despite being designed for Tora.
You can obtain Poppi Buster through a quest. The yellow antenna things protruding from its head are further explained in its unique quest.
2. T-elos Re:
T-elos Re: was first introduced as KOS-MOS’ rival in the Xenosaga series. Her design is a bit cuter from her original version, however, the modeler ensured he would put CHOCO’s vision into the actual in-game model.
She’ll be available to those who have cleared the game. Her Blade design is by CHOCO. T-elos Re: was first introduced a rival of KOS-MOS in the Xenosaga series. When Kunihiko Tanaka designed KOS-MOS Re:, CHOCO learned that he was putting in efforts to pay respect to CHOCO, so in reply he said “Then I shall do the same for Tanaka-san” as he designed in a way to return the favor.
When you beat the game, you’ll see a star next to your currency. Once this is obtained, you have met the conditions to meet T-elos Re:.
Some said, you’ll need to get T-elos Re: through Core Crystals, but she has a very high appearance rate, so it shouldn’t be difficult to resonate with her.
As for other changes coming to Ver 1.4.0, you’ll get to exchange bonus EXP for Poppi Parts in New Game+. There will also be a new sort option for the menus.
If you purchased the Expansion Pass, beginning in May you’ll get new quests, more Rare Blades, a new “Extreme” difficulty, as well as new Challenge Battles. There’s also a new Rare Blade that is being designed by a new illustrator, complete with a new voice actor, just for the Expansion Pass.
