Frontwing has announced another title for release in west! Together with developer Prototype, romance visual novel Island is going to be localized and released in 2017, around the same time with its anime adaptation! While previously released on PC, PS Vita, and Android, no platform has been confirmed for the western version. Check out the Japanese trailer of the game below!

Urashima, an island far from the mainland. The people who live there lead carefree lives. But five years ago, the island’s three great families suffered a series of misfortunes, and succumbed to suspicion. The people of the island cut off all contact with the mainland, and began a slow decline. The key to saving the island lies in three girls who belong to the three families. But they are bound by old traditions, and are conflicted. On that island, a lone man washes ashore. The man claims to be from the future, and he begins a solitary struggle to change the island’s fate.

In Island, the player will assume the role of Setsuna Sanzenkai, a man who washes up on the shore of the beach of Urashima. Interestingly, he claimed that he came from the future with a mission to save the world! He will then interact with each heroines: Karen Kurutsu, the daughter of the town mayor; Sara Garandō, Urashima Shrine’s miko; and Rinne Ohara, a recluse and mysterious lady. There will be three main plot lines, one for each heroine. As players chose various multiple options presented during the game, there will also be alternative endings which will lead the game to end prematurely!

Island is currently in development and expected to release in 2017. You can read more visual novels by Frontwing here.
