SEGA‘s Valkyria: Azure Revolution, previously revealed as a PS4 exclusive, will also get PS Vita version.
Valkyria: Azure Revolution is part of the Valkyria series, but is considered to be separate from the previous games. The concept of its battle system and the battlefield are the same, but it also mixes RPG with simulation elements. Players will take the role of Amleth. He is a commanding officer of Jutland‘s elite anti-Valkyria unit. Jutland itself is a small country which is economically blockaded by Rus, a big empire that reached fast industrial development after discovering the azure mineral called Ragnite. Ragnite is a mineral used as an energy resource but also has magical properties. Jutland strikes the base of Rus’ army to achieve independence from colonial rule. The game also has another species besides humans, which is Valkyria; a “supernatural” in comparison to humans, almost close to being gods.
Purchasing the game in Japan at release will be an advantage since you can receive a bonus that is product code to download the Vanagand Formation, a fully voiced story chapter. Pre-registrations also already open here since two days ago. Again, pre-registering will give you another fully voiced story chapter.
Another bonus will be available on Tokyo Game Show, in which the game’s PS4 version can be played and attendees can get product code to download the new Battle Trial Version 2.0 demo launching in October. Those who have the 1.0 version demo, included in Japanese copies of Valkyria Chronicles Remastered, are also not forgotten as they will get automatic access to the demo, available only for PS4.
