Nihon Falcom revealed the update for their remastered game, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II for PlayStation 4 that will be updated under the title The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II: Kai – The Erebonian Civil War. The game previously launched on 2014 and 2016 for its Japanese and western version dedicated for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Now, the game will be ported into newest console with several enhancements.
Similar to the previous plan, the remastered version of its previous series entitled The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel I: Kai –Thors Military Academy 1204, this remastered version will run on 60 FPS, High resolution (4K) supported on PS4 engine, enhancing the sound quality, as well as Fast Skip mode to fast-forward the game twice or four times faster by pressing a certain button.
Other than those improvements, there are at least 102 DLC provided by the company itself without any purchase. The DLC contains of costumes, accessories, and they can be used from the start. The game will give you several bonuses if you have a save game of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III on the console. Moreover, if you have the save data of the original game (which is available on PS3 and Vita), you can do a cross-save since the game allows you to do so.
The game will be released on April 26th, 2018, just after a month the first remastered series are released (which is on March 2018). This remastered version is still scheduled to be released in Japan without any info for other releases.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II: Kai –The Erebonian Civil War will be released in japan on April 26th, 2018 for PlayStation 4.
