The Tactical RPG Grand Kingdom Gets A Bunch of New Screenshots and Trailer

Grand Kingdom Logo

NIS America just published a new trailer for the tactical RPG Grand Kingdom. Spike Chunsoft, the company behind Danganropa series and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series, is the developer of this game. It has a similar feel with Grand Knights History (an RPG Game for PSP that was only released in Japan), but adding more tactical planning element.

You can watch the trailer below:

Here is the game’s story introduction, taken from the NIS America’s official website:

After the collapse of the former Empire, the Four Great Nations of Resonail wage a war of supremacy over the continent. Leading your own mercenary squad, you will dive into the heart of battle.

Travel distant lands rendered in beautiful 2D art, and use your personally-trained mercenary squad to improve your military gains. Take part in an exciting single-player campaign as you unravel the mystery behind the Uldein Empire’s collapse, or play online and participate in continental warfare between the Four Great Nations.

Pledge your loyalty and conquer the realm, or pursue your own desires. The choice is entirely up to you.

You will play as the leader of the mercenary squad. Character creation and customization is a neat feature in this game, followed by fast-paced action battle combined with tactical-strategy planning element. You can weave various skills from your squad members in the battle to create a deadly combination attack.

As a neutral guild, you can accept quest from any of the four nations. Of course you can also choose to have an exclusive contract with one the kingdom. Additionally, this game also supports multiplayer battle. You can participate in an online war with various players.
