The Silver Award Winner Puzzle RPG SwapQuest Will Be Released Tomorrow on PS Vita

SwapQuest Title for PS Vita

After more than 2 years since its release for smartphone, the puzzle RPG SwapQuest is finally getting a release for PS Vita on February 23, 2016. Yes, it will be released tomorrow.

You can watch the SwapQuest trailer for PS Vita below:

In his PlayStation blog about the announcement, the game’s designer Constantin Graf shares a message regarding the game’s inspiration:

SwapQuest is a mix of a retro RPG with a tile-swapping puzzle game, inspired by classics like Pipe Mania. The idea behind it was to take many of the elements I loved as a child in console RPGs from the 90’s and blend them with a movement system more reminiscent of a puzzle game.

In this game, you can choose to play as Prince Wilbert or Princess Wilma. Your main mission here is to find the Holy Sword Adventuril in order to defend the kingdom from evil power that invaded the land.

The art style is a reminiscent of 16-bit classic RPG with massive tile-puzzle gameplay. Throughout the game, you will escort your character by swapping tiles. You can fight monsters, buy equipment, collect gems, and choose one from available 5 character classes.
