Bandai Namco announced a demo for Tales of Berseria for PlayStation 4 in Japan, which will be available via Japanese PlayStation Store on August 4. In addition, Bandai Namco also released another trailer that shows a closer look to the previously announced DLC outfits, geoboards, and hairstyles.
The demo comes in two modes available: Scenario mode, and Battle mode. The Scenario mode lets players to take a glimpse at the story and participate in some battles, field exploration, and chat system.
On the other hand, The Battle mode focuses more on the battle itself, so that players can experience the Liberation LMBS.

Bandai Namco also announced that there will be in-store demo which are exclusive to certain stores all across Japan. The in-store demo content differs from the downloadable one. Those who check out the in-store demo will get a set of eight posters and more.
Here are the schedules for the in-store demo.
- July 30 (11:00am-5:00pm) – Animate Ikebukuro Head Office
- July 31 (1:00pm-5:00pm) – Yodobashi Camera Shinjuku West Exit Head Office Game/Hobby Building
- August 6 (11:00am-5:30pm) – Bic Camera Yurakucho
- August 7 (1:00pm-5:00pm) – Bic Camera Nagoya West Station Shop
The video begins with showcasing the geoboard, followed by a look at the hairstyles, and then the DLC costumes afterwards.
