Yesterday, we got the announcement from Square Enix that I Am Setsuna will head to west this Summer 2016, after initially released in Japan for PS4 and PS Vita. The US and Europe version won’t get an PS Vita version, but will have a PC Steam release as the replacement.
In the Game Development Conference (GDC) 2016, which is currently being held, a new hope for the PS Vita version has been arised! During an interview session with USgamer, the game developer team leader Atsushi Hashimoto told them this:
“Of course, there is a large Vita market in Japan. If there is a swell of demand in North America [for the Vita version], though, we will consider it.“
He also said that the game was originally designed to play in a big screen. So, PS4 and PC release is more understandable compared to the PS Vita version. This answer has led many people posted their wishes on Square Enix’s Facebook and Twitter account to consider the PS Vita release.
