After being delayed for two months, finally, The Pokémon Company along with Nintendo announced that Pokémon GO plus will be released on September 16th.
Pokémon GO Plus is a companion device. It connects to the phone over Bluetooth® Smart, allowing players to keep their phone inside their pockets, thus not having to look at the screen all the time, while still being able to collect and capture Pokémon. Players can even obtain new items just by clicking the device. Moreover, the device will vibrate and light up as an alert every time a PokéStop is near. When there is a Pokémon nearby, Pokémon GO Plus will also alert players with lights and vibration. Pokémon can be caught with a button on the device.
During Apple’s iPhone 7 event in California, Niantic Labs also announced that Pokémon GO will launch for Apple Watch. The developer will make the new version of the game, which has polished features and interaction specifically for the Apple Watch.
Previously, it is also reported that Niantic is implementing companion system called “Buddy” feature that will allow players to train Pokémon by walking around. Meanwhile, new feature such as appraisal system is already launched. Appraisal system help trainers learn about a Pokémon’s battle capabilities from their Team Leader to determine which Pokémon have the most potential for battle.
Pokemon GO is currently available for Android and iOS, and will release for Apple Watch by the end of 2016. Meanwhile, Pokémon GO Plus will be available on September 16 2016 in most countries, and later this year in a few South American territories. Read more post related to Pokemon GO here!
