During the previous E3 2016 event, Nintendo announced the additional wearable gadget Pokémon GO Plus will launch by the end of this month (July). However, they suddenly notified the fans that the gadget will be delayed to September 2016. Check the official twitter below.

Nintendo doesn’t clarify why they delay the gadget. With Niantic has been trying to increase server capability for international release of Pokémon GO, it might be a good reason for the delay. For your information, Pokémon GO Plus will notify you wherever any wild Pokémon are nearby. Hence, you don’t need to stare at your phone all the time.
Pokémon GO is available now for Android and iOS. The game is free but will will feature some in-app purchases. Stay alert on your surroundings when playing the game (check our safety tips here).
