Sega has announced the release date for their Cloud streaming free-to-play Phantasy Star Online 2: Cloud. Moreover, the Switch version will have in-game microtransactions (obviously). And because this MMORPG is Cloud-based, so you won’t need to worry about updates.
It will run at 30FPS, so depends on your network environment, you might experiencing lag pending or not. Despite running on the Cloud, Sega recommends to play in a stable network.
Unfortunately there’s no no cross-play with the PlayStation versions, you can only play the Switch version along with the PC version only. However, you can have one Sega ID, thus you share Arks Cash and Star Gems under the same account. Players will also get to play the same account across different versions as long as it’s not logged in on more than one version at a time.
