Just one day ago we are given Persona Q2 trailer alongside its release date. Then today, Atlus gives us another trailer that shows some details alongside a little bit of gameplay.
Like the prequel, the persona users are trapped within a labyrinth. If Persona Q takes a school as its theme, Persona Q2 goes for movies. Again, if there’s one girl who holds the key—explanation—of the mysterious yet dangerous world in the prequel, so do with its sequel. She’s also accompanied by someone.
Below is the plot overview.
The Persona users are trapped in a world of movies. And a girl is the one who holds the key…?
In Mementos, the Morgana Car suddenly goes out of control!? Sucked into a mysterious space, the Phantom Thieves arrived at a mysterious town where unknown enemies wander about.
Barely managing to escape, the Phantom Thieves ended up lost in a movie theater without an exit.
And then Nagi, a black-haired, white-clothed woman they met at the movie theater, and Hikari, a downcast-looking girl, informs them that they just came out of a movie.
Labyrinth-like movie worlds. And in the movies, they encounter those who possess the same powers to guide them.
Will the Phantom Thieves be able to escape the movie theater…?
It feels like the Phantom Thieves is the main in this game, but there will be three team in Persona Q2 as mentioned before featuring a total of 28 characters from Persona 3 to 5. Personally, i’m interested with Koromaru, Kanji, and Morgana’s interaction when they will first meet.
Morgana’s appearance is still the same. Well, he’s a chibi from the start, but you might interested in how Phantom Thieves all out attack wallpaper look like in their chibi form. Here’s one featuring Joker.
Moving along, apparently there’s a Dream Contest in Persona Q2 that you can enjoy with Persona 3 Portable’s female protagonist.
What is this Dream Contest? Atlus have yet to give us more information about it. But, one thing that we know based on the theme is that every movie has their own labyrinth to explore, just like the classes in Persona Q. The mechanics are similar too, with how players must draw their own map while exploring. The F.O.Es also having a comeback.
Last but not least, the first-print copies will come with some battle soundtracks from Persona 3, Persona 4, Persona 5 as bonus DLC.
