Nintendo Direct Sep 1st 2016 Report: Dragon Quest VIII Delayed, Yo-Kai Watch 2 Release Date, and More!

During the event of Nintendo Direct held on September 1st 2016, we were given new information ranging from Nintendo‘s new games, new items, and release date. This is the summary of RPG news announced in the event.

Dragon Quest VIII 3DS Delayed

Nintendo Direct - Dragon Quest VIII

The wait for the classic JRPG Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King 3DS will be longer than expected. The game will be available in North America in November 2017. In addition, Nintendo also shared some new footage of  Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past for 3DS. The game is now available for pre-order and purchasing it will include free 3DS theme.

Yo-Kai Watch 2 US Version Release Date Announced

The US version of Yo-Kai Watch 2 will be available for 3DS on September 30th 2016. The game will have two different version: Fleshy Spirits and Bony Spirits. The demo will also be available in eShop on September 5.

Ever Oasis New Trailer

Grezzo shows us the new trailer for Ever Oasis which shows the game’s gameplay mechanics. You can watch the trailer above. Ever Oasis is due to release some time next year for 3DS.

Pokemon Sun and Moon Introduces Alolan Ratta and Special Munchlax

Pokémon Sun & Moon gives us a sneak peek of Rattata’s Alolan Form. Additionally, purchasing either Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon early will receive a Munchlax along with a special item, Snorlium Z, which can be used to learn Pulverizing Pancake as its special Z-Move when evolving to Snorlax. Pokemon Sun and Moon will be available for 3DS in November this year.

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword is Available

Nintendo revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is now available for download. You can download it via Nintendo eShop. The game will cost $19.99.

Zelda 30th Anniversary Amiibo

Nintendo Direct - The Legend of Zelda Amiibo

Celebrating The Legend of Zelda franchise’s 30th anniversary, Nintendo released new items related to the game. Those are amiibo modeled after classic Zelda games as well as a new set of art books containing the game’s artworks.
