Dualshockers got to speak with producer Yosuke Saito at Gamescom and Saito revealed that the game takes more than 25 hours to finish, and also the team has no plans to release the game in Xbox One and Nintendo NX, but the possibility is not zero.
NieR: Automata Takes More than 25 Hours to Finish
During the interview with Dualshockers, Saito mentioned that it takes 25 hours to finish NieR: Automata, but when he said that to the staff back in Japan, the staff replied, “No, it probably takes a lot longer than that.”
There will be a lot of side quests in the game. There are short, standalone side quests, there are also long-running side quests. Similar to other games, side quests are not mandatory to reach the ending of the game. However, there will be multiple endings to the game, and the true ending can be achieved by clearing all the side quests.
The resistance camp that was showcased at E3 earlier is not the only settlement in the game, as explained by Saito. There will be more than that.
A Slim Chance for the Game to Release in Xbox One and NX
Earlier at this year’s Gamescom, the director of NieR: Automata, Yoko Taro, announced that the game is heading to PC in early 2017. In response to that announcement, Dualshockers asked Saito if there are any chance for the game to be ported to Xbox One and Nintendo NX.
According to the producer, there are no plans for it at the moment. However, if NieR: Automata is a success, the plan to port the game might be worth considering.
