June is ending! Of course, the highlight of this year’s June is the event E3 2017. A lot of news is coming from that event alone. However, E3 2017 is not the only interesting news we got this month! There are still other news that will make you excited, and we have summarized them for you below!


Special highlight

  • E3 2017

This month’s highlight is definitely one of the biggest game event in the world, E3 2017. A lot of game’s news are revealed in this event! Fire Emblem Warriors, for example, gets its gameplay revealed during this event. Not only Fire Emblem Warriors, but Code Vein also gets its gameplay trailer showed to us. Another notable gameplay revealed in this E3 is The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild‘s first DLC‘s, The Master Trial. In addition, Final Fantasy XIV shows its gameplay and features in multiple footage. Thinking that that’s all we got for this year’s E3 2017? Nope! You can check the other news here. Oh, and one more thing! The date for E3 2018 is already announced. So, when will it be?

One of GUST‘s Atelier series goes online! Atelier Online: Alchemist of Bresier, as its name tells you, is a multiplayer online game for Android and iOS and will be released for PC in the future. Compile Heart just announced a new RPG for PS4, Death end re;Quest! The game is currently still being developed, but you can read about its story and feature here.

Do you know Magic: The Gathering, a strategy card game considered as the most popular strategy card games in the world? Perfect World Entertainment, together with Cryptic, is currently developing its RPG version! The game will launch for consoles and PC, but its release date is currently unknown.

  • Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV

Monster of the Deep - Final Fantasy XV

Square Enix announced a spin-off game for Final Fantasy XV. The game is called Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV and will be coming for PlayStation VR! However, this game is not like what you think. So, what is the game like? Check here if you’re that curious!

  • Monster Hunter: World

The Pokemon Company announced a new Pokemon game for smartphone, PokeLand! A release date is currently unknown, but an alpha test has been held in Japan. Check here if you want to know about the game and its footage!

Pokemon Sun & Moon was a huge success, and this time the updated version will be coming! The updated version, titled Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, will release on November 17 2017 on 3DS. What’s new in this updated version? Check it out here!

  • South Park: Phone Destroyer

During E3 2017, Ubisoft revealed that a South Park game is coming for iOS and Android later this year! The game will be called South Park: Phone Destroyer. As for the game’s story overview and trailer, you can check it right away!

  • Terra Battle 2 & Terra Wars

Final Fantasy creator, Hironobu Sakaguchi, announced Terra Battle 2 and Terra Wars. Both games will release for PC and smartphones. Watch the trailers and details here!

  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR

  • Tokyo Clanpool

Denpile, a crossover brand between Compile Heart and Dengeki, announced their first PS Vita game, Tokyo Clanpool! The game is said to bring a Dungeon RPG Revolution, featuring a future Tokyo and many more!

  • Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls

This collaboration RPG between Hyperdimension Neptunia and Sega Hard Girls is going PC this Summer, and we already knew that. To be exact, June 12th is the day! So, again, mark your calendar if you want to play it with your PC!

  • Moon Hunters

Moon Hunters - Title

Previously it only available for Playstation 4. Now you can play Moon Hunters with Xbox One! But wait, you still have to wait for the game’s release date. Don’t worry, though, it won’t be a long, for July 19th is the date it will be available for the console!

  • Elex


Have you seen the cinematic trailer for this Post-apocalyptic Sci-Fi Action RPG? If not, then maybe you haven’t know about its release date yet! Elex will be coming to game stores on October 17th, folks! Mark your calendar if you want to get one.

  • Ni No Kuni II

Ni No Kuni II Gives More Information for Its Character and The Kingdom Building Mode!

After waiting for a pretty long time (a few years), Ni No Kuni II is finally ready for its release! Get ready, as this beautiful game will be coming to us in November 10, 2017!

  • Battle Chasers: Nightwar

Sometimes, or often times, you get the feeling about a certain film, comic/manga, or even anime that you like could become a really good game with awesome gameplay, and you really want to play it if the series really become a game. Battle Chasers: Nightwar is game based on a comic with the same name, Battle Chasers. If you are a fan of the series, you might really want to play it since one of your wishes really did come true. Have some more patience, folks. It’s release date is on October 3rd. Still a few months away.

  • Night of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon

Sometimes a game has two release date. Usually it happens if the game is going western, and Night of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon is one of those game. The western release for it will be on October 24th for North America, and October 27th for Europe. A three days difference.

Pokken Tournament Announced for Switch as Pokken Tournament DX!An upgraded version of Pokken Tournament will be coming soon for Nintendo Switch as Pokken Tournament DX! The new port features new pokemons Pokemon Sun and Moon! The game itself is planned to be released on September 22th.

  • Dissidia Final Fantasy NT

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Announced for PS4 Release!The popular arcade game Dissidia Final Fantasy will be coming to the PS4 as Dissidia Final Fantasy NT! The port will bring new stage: The Floating Continent from Final Fantasy III! The 3 vs 3 battle arena will be available for PS4 early next year.

  • Pictlogica Final Fantasy ≒

Pictlogica Final FantasyDuring the 30th Final Fantasy anniversary event, Square Enix announced that the puzzle RPG Pictlogica Final Fantasy ≒ will be coming to the 3DS! The game was previously available as a free-to-play smartphone game. The port will also be free and planned to be released on July 13th!

  • Silver

Silver - FeautureThe classic RPG Silver is making a return on Steam! Previously released back in 1999 for Windows, Dreamcast and OSX, The new edition is now being released by THQ Nordic with new intuitive controls and various polishings!

  • Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds

Hakuoki - ScreenshotIdea Factory International has announced that the Shinsengumi-themed Otome VN Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds will be getting a PC port! The game was previously already available for PS Vita, and the new port will be arriving soon this Summer!

  • .hack//G.U. Last Recode

.Hack G.U. Last Recode - Screenshot 1Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2  announced that the .hack//G.U. series will be having a remastered version for both PC and PS4 as .hack//G.U. Last Recode! The trilogy will be released with 1080p resolution, improved graphics, and lots of gameplay upgrades!

  • Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions Announced for 3DS!During the E3 2017 event, Nintendo unveiled that a new remastered game titled Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions will be arriving for 3DS this October! The game was previously released on GameBoy Advance and Wii U.

  • The Fruit of Grisaia – Side Episode

The Fruit of Grisaia - Side Episode - FeatureAfter previous release on PC via SteamPrototype announced that The Fruit of Grisaia – Side Episode will be getting a PS Vita port on July 27th in Japan! The game consists of three side episodes of the Grisaia trilogy. No western localization has been confirmed as of yet.

Iwaihime Matsuri - FeatureHorror visual novel Iwaihime: Matsuri is getting delayed, NIS announced. The PlayStation port is now is now set to release on September 7th, to compensate for the adjuments of Computer Entertainment Rating Organization’s (CERO) examination standards.

Previously announced to be remastered for Nintendo 3DS, and it almost become a Japan only game. Luckily for us, Atlus decided to have a western release for it! But we still have to wait for a few months or maybe half a year for it. Apparently it will be available early next year on the west.

  • Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux

Another remastered game that almost only available in Japan. Again, luckily for us, Atlus decided to make a western release for Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey with the addition of the word Redux in its title. Like the previous one, this game also will be available next year on the west.

  • Blue Reflection

Not a remastered, but previously really only available in Japan. This waifu heaven RPG with Sailor Moon feels is finally going western! Now you can date your choice of waifu in your own country—ahem—on September 26th.

When it has the word ‘Moe’ in its title, then it MUST be have the MOEs! Be prepare to get diabetes from moe girls, or just prepare a special place for your harem—ahem—i mean, a free space in your PC. Why? Because it will get ambushed by the girls! The moe girls! They finally going western!!

  • Fate/Grand Order

After waiting for a few years, finally it has come to this. Fans of Fate series will finally can play the smartphone game, Fate/Grand Order, in english! It finally going to the west! In fact, fans can already play the game.

  • Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond The Myth

This fall we will have a dungeon crawling RPG that goes to the west. Another game by Atlus, the fifth installment of Etrian Odyssey. It finally go to its western fans’ arms.


Important Company / Console Update

  • Nintendo Switch

Nintendo Switch Online Service

If you think only Playstation have a paid online service called Playstation Plus, then you’re wrong. At least you’re right until early last month. Nintendo has announced a paid online service with similar feature to Playstation Plus. They called it, the Nintendo Switch Online. The service will be available next year.

  • Microsoft

Xbox One X

Everyone know Xbox is a gaming console owned by Microsoft. Everyone also knows the name of each Xbox’s generations only have a little difference, just like Playstation. Guess what is the name of Xbox’s next generation? One would guess Xbox One Scorpio because of Project Scorpio, but it’s acually Xbox One X! The new console will be available worldwide on November 7, 2017.

Mobile RPG Akashic Re:cords Service Will End Its Service on August 31st!

Apparently, the fruit of Kadokawa Games and Square Enix‘s mobile game collaboration Akashic Re:cords didn’t perform quite well after its launch in Japan last year. Therefore, the mobile RPG will end its service by the end of August.
