  • Digimon ReArise

Bandai Namco announced a new Digimon game entitled Digimon ReArise! It will be developed for Smartphones: iOS and Android. The game will be considered as a friendship evolving RPG and is based on Digimon Adventure‘s anime!

  • Final Fantasy XV

Square Enix revealed the Royal Edition for their game Final Fantasy XV specially dedicated for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with several new features and bonus! In addition, this game will be coming to PC as Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition. Check the details here!

My Time at Portia

Team17 and developer Pathea Games announced a farming sim RPG My Time at Portia via Steam. This game is planned to be fully released sometime this year throughout PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Check all the details here!

  • DC Unchained

DC Super Heroes and Villains Clash in Action RPG DC Unchained; Closed Beta Announced!

FourThirtyThree Inc. (4:33) and ThumbAge revealed an action RPG that offers 30 playable super heroes and super villains from DC’s series! It will release for Android. A closed beta test is already available for three countries, and you can watch the trailer here.

Developer & publisher Event Horizon announced their early access RPG, Tower of Time, full release! This game previously launched as early access on June last year, and will be making its appearance as full version this April!

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet developed by Bandai Namco also wants to show off their deluxe packages! Of course, you have to do something first before getting all of those packages (like pre-ordering them, for example)

  • Action RPG Zwei: The Arges Adventure


Who’s excited to play the remastered version of Zwei!!? If you don’t know already, Zwei: The Arges Adventure is already available to play since January 24th! Don’t believe me? Check out the announcement trailer yourself.

  • Final Fantasy XV


Final Fantasy XV has gone to Xbox One from Playstation 4. Now, the game has spread its wings to PC. Those who don’t have the consoles can finally have a taste of the latest Final Fantasy series on their own PC. But, be sure to check the requirements before getting it. Now. Because the game has been confirmed to be available on March 6th, 2018 globally.


Additionally and apparently, Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition also already has an official release date after opening a pre-registration. Just a few days from today, folks. Mark your calendar on February 9th.

  • Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms


Idea Factory International has an announcement for those who wants to meet their husbando. There are two release dates for Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms; March 13th for North America and March 16th for Europe. Still a month away to meet your man, huh? But it’s worth the wait.

  • Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux


Finally we got to know when will Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux be available to get! It’s still three months away from now, but let’s just be patient until May 18th to be able to reminiscent while playing it. That is if you have played the game before. If not, let’s just enjoy it.

  • Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia


There’s a pre-registration for Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia that’s already been going on before the official release date even announced. Now, though, the game has finally be available to play since a few days ago, January 30th!

  • World End Syndrome


A new sim love story Visual Novel, the World End Syndrome that was announced to be available for three consoles has announced its release date! April 19th, and still in Japan. Let’s wait for a western localization announcment.

  • The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II


There’s one more RPG that will be available on Valentine’s Day, February 14th. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II is the name, and it’s for the PC version while we still got no more info for the remastered Playstation 4 version. You know, it could be really good idea to gift this game to someone dear to you for the V-day.

  • Full Metal Panic! Fight: Who Dares Wins


If you’re an anime enthusiast from the beginning of time, then you might know something about the originally light novel series that became anime and manga, Full Metal Panic! Apparently the series is still going, and now it got a game adaptation. A mecha game, to be exact. It was announced last October as a game, and now we finally got the release date for it! Not only that, we also got some new trailers, and an information for the Limited Edition! The game will be released in Japan on May 31, 2018 and in Asia with English subtitles sometime on 2018.




Are you a fan of strategy-RPG? If so, be overjoyed since the game entitled Mercenaries Saga developed by CIRCLE Entertainment will be ported to another console! You can read the info here.

Who wants to play a well-known RPG in another console? Behold, the game developed by Square Enix entitled Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age will be ported into another platform. Of course, you have to fulfill some requirements to play it on another platform, though.



Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana by Nihon Falcom is informed to be ported into another console this year! Well, you can read more about it by visiting this page.



Well, this game surprised us since the game developed by Bandai Namco featured FromSoftware entitled Dark Souls: Remastered is ported to some consoles around this year! Read the full info here, mateys!



To celebrate the game, Nippon Ichi Software ported their classic game entitled Disgaea: Hour of Darkness into some consoles. This page will give you the full info about what should you know before playing the game.



Idea Factory International with their game entitled Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms will be ported into another platform. Before, the game is available for PS Vita, by the way.

  • Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana

Citing low framerate and memory leak issues as the delay reason, the game is currently being delayed indefinitely. Fortunately, the PS4 and PS Vita localizations are on track and are now available!

Localization to English Announced

  • Code: Realize ~Bouquet of Rainbows~

VN Code: Realize ~Bouquet of Rainbows~ will be brought to the west by Aksys Games! The game will be launched as a limited edition package, including both Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ and Code: Realize ~Future Blessings~, alongside bonus merchandises such as cloth posters and chibi art pins! It’s planned to release for PS Vita and PS4 this March!

  • Code: Realize ~Bouquet of Rainbows~

Code Realize Bouquet of RainbowsAlongside the limited edition, fan disc Code: Realize ~Future Blessings~ is also being localized for PS Vita! The sequel is set to release in North America on March 30th and in Europe this Spring.

  • Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia

Mobile version of Dissidia Final Fantasy is finally coming to the west! While Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia has only been available in Japan since January, Square Enix will soon release it globally for both Android and iOS this Winter!

  • Detective Pikachu

Detective PikachuA curious Detective Pikachu is heading to the west! Previously exclusive to Japanese audience, this time Nintendo is bringing the fresh new 3DS title for both North America and Europe on March 23, 2018!

  • Metal Max Xeno

Kadokawa Games have announced a western release for Metal Max Xeno for PS4 and PS Vita! While the Japanese version is already slated for release this April, no exact release date has been announced yet for the western editions.

  • Monster Hunter: World

Capcom revealed several things for their game Monster Hunter: World; first, the trailer introducing new monster, PC and Beta version, the second is the show off the Test Preload and Rewards. Next news goes to the Day One Patch which showing: Poogie, additional system and language. Don’t forget the release announcement and lastly the crossover with another well-known fighting game entitled Street Fighter V.

  • Dissidia Final Fantasy NT

Square Enix revealed Second Beta for their upcoming game Dissidia Final Fantasy NT along with a TV Commercial trailer. Moreover, there’s also an availability update which is exclusively for PlayStation 4 in the west as well as launching two trailers along with a day-one update with its special features.

  • Legrand Legacy

SemiSoft released their project game entitled Legrand Legacy which has a cool story and gameplay for PC on this January 24th after their long progress. The game also will be released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on 2019. For now, you can just play the PC version via Steam.

  • The Caligula Effect: Overdose

FuRyu recently shares their improvement of the game entitled The Caligula Effect: Overdose focusing on its gameplay by showing us the screenshots. The gameplay actually contains several features, even they are also have their labels.

  • Shining Resonance Re:frain

Sega revealed the new trailer for their game entitled Shining Resonance Re:frain which shows several features: some special editions and in-game’s combat. Since the game is the remastered version from the PlayStation 3, this version will give you another new features: Refrain Mode.

  • Valkyria Chronicles 4

Sega revealed several things for their game entitled Valkyria Chronicles 4 and gives the detailed information about them: Crossover missions that is the crossover missions between Claude‘s Squad and Team 7, the three Driver details, Tank’s details, and Limited edition of console’s game cover.

  • Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom

Ni No Kuni II Release Date Officially Confirmed for PC and PS 4!

Approaching Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom release date, Bandai Namco kindly gives extra behind the scene trailer, which besides gameplay and cutscenes, character designer Yoshiyuki Momose, Akihiro Hino, the Story & General Director, and Takafumi Koukami, the Director describe how they create the strong characters. And likewise, Level-5 and Famitsu also shared tons of screenshots.

  • Atelier Lydie & Suelle: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting

Koei Tecmo revealed lots of information about their game entitled Atelier Lydie & Suelle: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting such as battle system and system voice. The battle system comes with enhanced visual while the system voice will only have Japanese voice overs with subtitles.

  • Death End re;Quest

Getting closer to the release date of Death End re;Quest this March. Compile Heart seemed so excited to tease the fans with a brand new trailer. And this one Death End re;Questtrailer shows battle system overview. Reckoning there haven’t any Death End re;Quest trailer focusing to the battle system, thus this one is surely very eagerly awaited.

  • Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and Millionaire’s Conspiracy

”LadyNew updates for Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and Millionaire’s Conspiracy! Level-5 has shared that they’re making the first case of the game free for smartphone (iOS and Android) players, out of the 12 available cases!


Gaming Event

  • Dissidia Final Fantasy NT

Square Enix along with Amazon work together to hold a tournament for the game entitled Dissidia Final Fantasy NT dedicated for the game’s enthusiasts. The event is big, even they made it bigger! And by the way, they will hold the tournament on January 17th, where players will meet each other for glory.


  • Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan

”AurionThe unique African Fantasy RPG by Kiro’o Games Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan is having an online comic series, following the game’s plot! It is currently available to read for free!

From what we can see above, apparently most of January’s news are the follow ups for the December ones. Does that mean they work hard even at the end of the year? Let’s just hope the developers got enough rest and holiday, and be happy because they released a lot of details for us to look forward to.
