 New Games Announced

  • Final Fantasy Explorers-Force

Square Enix has announced a new Final Fantasy game title, Final Fantasy Explorers-Force for iOS and Android in Japan. You can check the details and screenshot here!

  • Hunter x Hunter: World Hunt

Hunter x Hunter: World Hunt - 2

Bandai Namco has just released a smartphone game for Hunter x Hunter called Hunter x Hunter: World Hunt! The series’ characters such as Gon and Killua can also be seen in the game!

  • Project Prelude Rune

Project Prelude Rune

Square Enix has announced both a new RPG and an entirely new studio! The new game is tentatively called ‘Project Prelude Rune‘ developed by their new Tokyo-based studio, Studio Istolia. You can read more about the game and studio here!


SINoALICE - Trailer Screenshot

Square Enix just announced a new title for a mobile game called SINoALICE. NieR creator, Yoko Taro, will be the Creative Director. According to the debut trailer, the genre of the game is still unclear. Since it’s Square Enix, though, it might turn out to be RPG.

  • Song of Memories

Developer Pure Wish has revealed more about Visual Novel Song of Memories! It comes with screenshots showing some gameplay systems and several characters of the game. Song of Memories depicts a world where women are infected by a mysterious virus.

Collector’s Edition

  • Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix

Square Enix announced a Limited Edition of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix, which is available via Square Enix Online Store. Every purchase of this Limited Edition comes along with a special pin.

Revealed release date

  • Zero Escape: The Nonary Games

Zero Escape The Nonary Games - Features

Now that Zero Escape: The Nonary Games is getting released in the west, Aksys Games has announced the game’s release date in the western market. The game is planned to release on March 25, 2017.

  • Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley Wii U version cancelled

We already knew that Stardew Valley will hit PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. What we don’t know is that the game will get its physical copy for both platform, as announced by 505 Games. The physical copy of the game will be available on March 11 in North America, and on March 13 in Europe.

  • Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness & Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony

NIS America announced the western release date for two of their visual novel games: Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness, and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. The first game will be released on April 27, while the latter game will be released on September 26 in North America, and on September 29 in Europe.

  • Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force

Earlier in February, Idea Factory International announced that Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force for PC would be released on February 14, which is already out by now. Click here to see further details on that.

Release Date Delayed

  • South Park: The Fractured But Whole

South Park The Fractured But Whole - The Coon Conspiracy - Trailer screenshotUbisoft announced that its upcoming South Park title, South Park: The Fractured But Whole is getting another delay! No specific dates have been announced yet, but it seems the game will be delayed for release around March 31st, 2018.

  • Akiba’s Beat

Akiba's Beat - Key VisualYet another delay for the PS Vita version of Acquire‘s Akiba’s Beat! After previously pushing the release date to March 16th, this time it’s getting push back to April 27th, citing quality checking as the main reason for the delay. The PS4 version of the game is already available in Japan.

  • The Snack World

Snack World Short FilmThe cross-media project by Level 5, The Snack World, is getting delayed to December! Specifically, the official website silently changed the release date for the mobile version (Android & iOS) of the game, without citing any reasons for the delay. Fortunately, the 3DS version will still release as planned on July!

  • Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death

Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death - FeaturedThe anticipated VN adaptation of the popular anime series Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death is getting a delay! Koei Tecmo announced that the game will delayed by around two months to further polish the game’s quality. It will release as soon as on May 11st!

  • Re: Zero -Starting Life in Another World- Death or Kiss

Re:Zero - Death or KissJust like Attack on Titan, the VN adaptation Re: Zero -Starting Life in Another World- Death or Kiss is also getting delayed! Luckily, the delay is only a week! The game will be released for both PS4 and PS Vita on March 30th in Japan.


Important RPG update

  • Dissidia Final Fantasy Arcade

Dissidia Final Fantasy Arcade - Pandaemonium

Square Enix will be adding the Pandaemonium stage from Final Fantasy II into Dissidia Final Fantasy for Arcade! The reveal also came along with a trailer that shows the stage up-close!

  • Final Fantasy XV

Square Enix has updated Final Fantasy XV‘s official website with more information regarding the upcoming DLC Episode Gladiolus. It will be available on March 28, 2017, the same time as the patch to chapter 13. Meanwhile, Episode Prompto will come later on June.

  • Horizon: Zero Dawn

Horizon: Zero Dawn gets a lot of new details such as HUD customization, Photo Mode, and more! The game also gets launch trailer and details a future patch.

  • Mobius Final Fantasy

Mobius Final Fantasy - Cloud vs Sephiroth

Square Enix released a new trailer for Mobius Final Fantasy, featuring epic battle between Cloud and Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII. The trailer shows along with a familiar orchestral music for Final Fantasy VII fans.

  • Monster Hunter XX

Monster Hunter XX - Trailer Screenshot

Capcom released the demo for the upcoming Monster Hunter XX, the “G version” of Monster Hunter Generations, in Japan. Players can try out the new styles in the demo and fight against three selected monsters! Check here for more screenshots and trailer.

  • Final Fantasy XIV

Final Fantasy XIV - Stormblood - Samurai

Square Enix reveals a Stormblood expansion for Final Fantasy XIV! This expansion pack features many new things such as swimming, diving, new areas, and level cap increase to 70. More importantly, it also give off Samurai and Red Mage as a new jobs! Check for details here.

  • Final Fantasy VII Remake & Kingdom Hearts III

Monaco Anime Game International Conferences - Logo

Square Enix shares some progress for Final Fantasy VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts III which will be available for PlayStation 4. They give some gorgeous screenshots showing battle scene for both series during their presentation at Monaco Anime Game International Conference 2017 (MAGIC 2017). 

  • Final Fantasy Explorers-Force

There’s batch of screenshots release from Square Enix for their new game, Final Fantasy Explorers-Force. They also reveals the jobs in the game. You can see some of the Summon Beasts in action too. Check here for more details.

  • Persona 5

Persona 5 - Velvet Room 1

Atlus release new trailer for Persona 5 which highlights Fusion System in the Velvet Room. Trailer shows that the players can fuse and upgrade their personas, not to mention they also able to turn their personas into items.

Square Enix reveals new trailer for SINoALICE! This new trailer introduces the characters who will appear in the game. The trailer shows the voice actors behind each characters as well. You can get for more details regarding this here.

  • Chronus Arc

Kemco RPG Chronus Arc Is Available Now on Smartphone!

Kemco decided to release their puzzle-solving RPG game, Chronus Arc on Google Play! This also means that this game is playable for smartphone! Check for further details here.

Important VN Update

  • A Clockwork Ley-Line

The trilogy Visual Novel A Clockwork Ley-Line gets a new trailer featuring lots of in-game CG scenes! Join the protagonist as he and his teammates protect the school from various magical items! The game will release soon for PS Vita in Japan on April 27th while the western localization is coming soon this year.

  • Grisaia: Phantom Trigger

Grisaia Phantom Trigger - Screenshot 3The upcoming sequel of the Grisaia series, Grisaia: Phantom Trigger, gets various new trailers featuring short introduction from heroines of the game, each showcasing their own unique personalities! The PC version of the game will be available through Steam as soon as April 28th.

  • VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action

Valhalla image1The futuristic dystopian Visual Novel VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action gets a big update! The indie developer Sukeban Games has released a new free patch which remasters the prologue scene, ranging from new visuals, stories, and even new musics!

  • Exile Election

Nippon Ichi Software released additional information regarding its upcoming deathmatch Visual Novel Exile Election! The game will revolve around “elections”, where players will duel against an opponent to decide who lives on the next round. Additionally, the game lets players choose who he’s going to battle against and thus the story will develop according to the player’s choices!

Localization to English Announced

  • Parascientific Escape: Gear Detective

Parascientific Escape Gear Detective - FeatureThe detective mystery VN Parascientific Escape: Gear Detective is now available in the West! Circle Entertainment has localized the sequel title and the game is now available in North America through the Nintendo 3DS eShop for $4.99! Solve various puzzle and locked room murders using various parascientific abilities!

  • RPG Maker Fes

RPG Maker FESNIS America has confirmed that RPG Maker Fes is coming to the West! The popular game making series will release for 3DS in North America as soon as Summer 2017! Ready to create your own fantasy world?



  • Kingdom Hearts
