Square Enix has announced that the PlayStation VR spinoff Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV is going to be released on November 21, 2017 for PlayStation 4. The company also shared some new details of the game.
Since the game’s main characteristic lies in the fishing experience, the available areas in the game are bodies of water that can be found across Eos such as swamps, beaches, reservoirs, and tropical areas. There are also times where boss monsters might jump onto the land and attacks you.
You can also create your own avatar, using the same system implemented in Final Fantasy XV Online Expansion Pack: Comrades. If your concern is that you won’t be able to see your own avatar, don’t worry about it, because it will show on Prompto’s photographs, as well as avatar icons.
The game also allows you to purchase rods, reels, lines, and other fishing equipments that can be customized. To add a competitive feel into the game, you can compete in tournaments against other players to see whose catch is the biggest.
Make sure to purchase the game via pre-order to get these exclusive themes for your PlayStation 4 device, which come with a unique design and music. Pre-ordering from the Japanese PlayStation Store allows you to obtain a samurai costume for your avatar as a pre-order bonus.
