Finally! The long-awaited fans’ favorite Kingdom Hearts mobile game will make its debut for the English audience region. Based on the Square Enix Blog here, they announced that Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ English release date is officially set on April 7 this year! The game was already available for Japan’s region about a half year ago.

Based on the browser game, Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ is a free-to-play mobile game RPG and set prior the infamous Keyblade War event in the series’ timeline. Like most of free-to-play game, there will be in-app purchases.
Unlike other entries in the franchise, you are able to create your own keyblade wielder avatar and play through the game by joining one from the 5 union (faction) available, completing quests, collecting medals, upgrade your keyblade, cooperating with other players to defeat Raid bosses, and compete with other union by collecting Lux to receive rewards.

Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ will have a tie-in to the main entry in the game, with the obvious connection to the HD cinematic Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover. It is one of the three contents included in the upcoming Kingdom Hearts entry, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Prologue, which will serve as the final prologue before the story in Kingdom Hearts III start.
