D3 Publisher revealed an action-adventure mixed with visual novel style idol raising game known as Idol Death Game TV. It is an action adventure game that will have idols battle to the death for center stage. The first trailer is already out, in which introduces some of its idols, a look at its gameplay, and bits of the Baku Royale feature.
Idol Death Game TV tells a top idol group called Project 47 and the literal deadly battle for the center spot in the annual event called Dream of Dream (D.O.D.). D.O.D. is always a big event, but something feels peculiar in this year’s event. Based on the trailer above, it is possible that they’re not aware of the situation and how bad it can get.
In this game, players will get to pick the idols to control and see the story from each of their own perspectives. After selecting a character, Doripaku (the pink mascot) will explain the judgment criteria. What you do will determine the fates of the other characters, as the idols that lose during judgment will have to accept death as their fates.
Some of the features of this game is Dream Coins, items required to win in Death Game battles. Dream Coins will be a key factor in staying alive as a certain amount is needed for the judgment parts in each stage. Another feature is Baku Royale, Battle that require the player to arrange “Bakuro Words” to find the enemy’s weak spots or scandals. Whoever comes up with the most horrifying Bakuro Words will be the winner, and the loser gets blown up by bombs. Winning the battle can earn you Dream Coins.
The game will have Shojiro Endo as scriptwriter and supervisor and Metewo Ueda as illustrator. The game is currently being developed by Witch Craft.
