Final Fantasy XV Wait Mode Feature Is Added to Bring More Strategic Gameplay

Final Fantasy XV Wait Mode

During the stage presentation in E3 2016, Hajime Tabata from Square Enix explained a new feature called Wait Mode for Final Fantasy XV. This mode can be switched on and off anytime within the Options menu.

Check out the demonstration trailer below:

The mode is similar to the ‘Wait ATB system’ in more classic Final Fantasy. It momentarily paused action to give the players some time to think for next action and target. However, the Final Fantasy XV wait mode version can only be done within limited ‘Wait Gauge‘. It may make the game easier for some players to play and also give a bit strategic thinking in this heavy action-oriented gameplay.

During the presentation, Tabata also showcased a magic synthesis feature. You can customize your magics and arrange it as you need. For example, you may customize Fire spells to give it a healing effect. Using this feature, you can mix up the three basic elements: Fire, Ice, and Lightning.
