Etrian Odyssey X Character Trailer Shows Zodiac, Ninja, Farmer, Shogun, and Sovereign Class

We do know Etrian Odyssey X is basically a crossover of all installment within Etrian Odyssey series. The classes are from the previous games, with an addition of the Hero. Earlier this month, we got to see a showcase for three classes: Highlander, Gunner, and War Magus. Now, we got another trailer showcasing five more classes. They are Zodiac, Ninja, Farmer, Shogun, and Sovereign from Etrian Odyssey III.

You might already know what are those classes capabilities, but below is the summary in case you’re not familiar with them.

The Sovereigns class were called Prince & Princess in Japanese version. They have powerful voices that act like a moral booster. Probably like a motivator. So, they mostly specialize in buffing the party.

The Shoguns are known for their offensive capabilities, but can also do a little support. Their attack power are high when using Katana to deal heavy damage. They also has passive skills that can leave you with 1HP after taking fatal attack once a battle. If you remember what kind of role Shogun is in the Japanese history, then you can expect them to have a certain ability to command your party. This ability is called the “Blitz Command” that orders all allies to attack.

The Zodiacs class, just like its name, uses astrological magic for elemental damages. They can also reveal nearby FOEs for a period of time using Horoscope skill.

The Ninjas is all about agility and versatile skills. They have a useful “Bunshin” skill that sacrifice half of their HP and TP to create a  copy of an ally in the party.

Finally the Farmers. Just like the name, they mostly provide supports for the party. Outside battles, they can nullify floor damage or avoid enemy encounters for a limited steps.

Etrian Odyssey X will be available for Nintendo 3DS in Japan on August 2nd, 2018
