E3 2016 was basically over, and we are having so many games (especially the RPG Games) to be released in the upcoming second half year. There is so many information update in the event and we also need to share focus in other jobs. Hence, we need some time to fully compiled this E3 2016 report.
So many things are revealed in this event, although some big games like FF VII Remake never mentioned in the event. Nintendo and Square Enix has outshine the event with their AAA titles. We learn some surprising things like the ‘expanded universe’ of Final Fantasy XV or the new Zelda being an action RPG. There are some new RPG games revealed too, like Ever Oasis from Nintendo.
I (Everlight) want to say thank you very much for the staffs that worked very hard to cover this big event. No matter how small your contribution, this report will never done without every single of you. Also, I would like to say thank you for you, the readers. The team also have some things that they want to share regarding this event:
“Covering E3 news is one hell of a task. It was very hectic. The news were coming after one another as if there’s no end to it. But it was fun. I got to follow titles and franchises that I was not quite familiar with. There are a lot of great games announced at this year’s E3. Out of all those titles, Persona 5 is my personal highly-anticipated game. One thing that I like from Atlus is that they are able to come up with interesting concept and premise, which instantly got me captivated.”
— Handoko Lun – News Writer
“Nothing special in this year E3. The new game that made me interested just Ever Oasis for 3DS. Square Enix announced release date for World of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts 2.8 FCP this year made me hype. And it will release worldwide too! SE wanted to go all out this year. But E3 2016 had “Epic” moment I couldn’t forget, when Hideo Kojima came at Sony Conference. I watched it live and it was really something.”
— Dyla – Game Reviewer
“I couldn’t help much in E3 coverages, so I can’t say much about it. But this year is PlayStation’s year I guess, coming in strong with a lot of great games to come. I would like to see how the Monster Hunter Generations feels soon.”

The other games that we cover here are The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II and Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns.
Perhaps this is the game that received many spotlights from XSEED’s booth in this E3 2016 event.
