Square Enix has confirmed the western release for the free edition of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. This Team Ninja-developed action game is heading west on March 12th for both PlayStation 4 and the new Windows PC port (via Steam).
It is free-to-play version, so you’ll have to spend some cash to buy a variety of characters and weapons individually. But the good news is that those playing on the Free Edition can also play online against players with the full game.
While Square Enix hasn’t specified, the Japanese version didn’t include the story mode, Treasure, and some of the courses in Rush Battle, as it was made to focus more on the online component of the game.
On another note about the rotating characters that change on a weekly basis, when a character becomes unusable after changing to the next set of characters, player statistics and character stats are saved, so they can progress the next time they become available.
