One of Spike Chunsoft’s game is getting an anime! No, unfortunately it’s not Danganronpa anymore (by the way, we’ve finished making a review about the newest Danganronpa game, Danganronpa V3 here). The one getting an anime is baby making RPG Conception!
The anime will air on October 2018 with Conception: Ore no Kodomo wo Undekure! (Conception: Please Deliver My Child!) as the title, the same as the first game which was released for PSP in 2012. Studio Gonzo will handle the production, with Keitarou Motonaga, who is known for handling Digimon Adventure Tri and Legend of the Galactic Heroes) as the supervisor.
In case you don’t know what Conception is, here’s the overview via Wikipedia:
The player’s goal is to charm girls from National Star God Academy, raise their affection for Itsuki, the protagonist, then produce and take the “Star Children” to explore dungeons and battle “impurities”
However, it is not an erotic game, as the “Star Children” are produced by pouring energy from Itsuki and one of the twelve “Star Maidens” into a particular device. The child’s class and statistics are determined by which character parents the child; for example, certain combinations could result in creating a warrior, or someone who specializes in magic. To produce more plentiful and more powerful “Star Children”, you must increase your intimacy with the twelve maidens, the other aspects of the gameplay is typical to dating simulation games.
Battles in the game are turn-based.
By the way, the game’s sequel already hits PC about two years ago.
Nothing more is known about the anime, but you can follow the news from its official Twitter here.
Conception: Ore no Kodomo wo Undekure! will have its anime premiere on October 2018.
