Announced for Spring 2019 release on Switch, Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland introduces two more characters! A handsome young swordsman named Aurel, and a now grown up Piana!
We all know Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland story revolves around Rorona’s daughter, Elmeluria Frixell, who is studying under a master alchemist. One might wonder, who is Elmeluria’s father? Unfortunately, we still don’t know the answer. But, we do know who her master is, Piana from Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland.
From a cute little girl into a cute woman (yes, she is still cute in my eyes), Piana makes a comeback as Elmeluria’s teacher! She is caring, but like teasing her disciple with some tricky questions. Piana can join your party for battles too.
About her new design, Gust want a mix of Nordic and Celtic with some Alchemist vibe, and this is what Mel Kishida came up to. What do you guys think about her adult looks? I think its amazing.
Next, the handsome swordsman.
Full name Christophe Aurel Arland, a cool young swordsman with confidence who is considered as a prodigy. Cool, is also his personality, but he also tends to help others in need with his own way. The designer, Mel Kishida, also added if Aurel is a character in Shoujo Manga, he would be “that one fated character at the end who may not seemed that way at the start.”
Aurel can join your party for battles too.
Apparently Mel Kishida did Aurel’s design pretty quickly. He turned in the first draft and made the face a little bit younger, and that’s it. The reason is simply because the more design Kishida made, the more ideas got depleted. Does anyone ever feel like that too when designing a character? But anyway, what do you think about this cool swordsman? Handsome? Or kinda pretty?
Moving along, we got a little sneak peak of three more characters to be introduced next! Three more girls incoming.
