Those of you who grew up in the 2000s must be at least somewhat familiar with the original Ragnarok Online game when it first came out. Ragnarok Mobile: Eternal Guardians of Love, or Ragnarok M: Eternal Love for short, is a free-to-play 3D mobile MMORPG based heavily on the classic game, Ragnarok Online. After its news of release on 2016, along by having the same developer as previous games, Dream Square presents a whole new and perhaps better version of Ragnarok Mobile there is.
- System : Android, iOS
- Release Date : September 2018
- Developer/Publisher : Dream Square/Gravity Interactive
- Main Series : Ragnarok Online
You can look at the latest promotional trailer for the game down below.
According to their Wiki page, the story begin when a war broke out among the gods. Powerful forces led to the defeat of the giant Ymir, ancestor of the gods. After his death, his heart was shattered and spread all throughout the world, pieces of what became known as the Heart of Ymir. Long story short, as a Novice and a group of warriors carrying their dreams and glory, you are about to reunite in the world of Ragnarok Online with the Heart of Ymir and begin a new adventure!
The game promises a more faithful recreation of the original than successors Ragnarok 2 and Ragnarok: Path of Heroes. Most of the content remains intact, including guild PvP, character jobs, costumes, and the game world, and notably features real-time combat. Some of the new content that the game brings to the table is its attractive 3D world that maintains the spirit of the original, as well as a brand new Blacksmith job class.
Players will be able to progress to 3rd Class in Ragnarok Mobile: Eternal Guardians of Love, currently excluding expanded job classes from the original Ragnarok Online. Starting from Novice to what is called as a Rebirth Class, which includes Lord Knight, Whitesmith, High Priest, High Wizard, Sniper, Assassin Cross, will all depend on which job you chose when you start out.
Your lovely and adorable pets are still there for you when you need them. As with previous Ragnarok sequels, you need to capture them in order to make them your pet or you could chose a longer but easier route in hatching them one by one. My personal favorite is still the original character from the Ragnarok Online era that is Poring.
That is just about what you need to know about Ragnarok M: Eternal Love first-hand. Since the game is a MMORPG, you would need to rely on an internet connection to play it together with your friends or perhaps even some strangers. As simple as it is, you will not have any difficulty even if you’ve never played Ragnarok before. Let me know in the comments below about what you think of the game.
