7. Valkyria Chronicles
Valkyria Chronicle (or also known as Battlefield Valkyria: Gallian Chronicles for the Japanese version) is a tactical JRPG which was released exclusively for PlayStation 3 in 2008. The game was developed by Sega and Media.Vision, and has a rare kind of military theme, where only few are interested in exploring it. The game visuals utilized SEGA’s CANVAS graphics engine, making it look like a painting in motion.
The game sets in a sort of Second World War alternate reality and centers on the story of a rebel leader named Welkin Gunther. Gunther and his squad fight back fight back against the Empire, trying to prevent them from stealing a precious fuel source and defending Europa from occupation. This game basically revolves around troubled high school students which consist of the main protagonist and his compatriots. With the assistance of Personas, they try to change the adults by entering their hearts.

PlayStation 3 is the beginning of the new era of gaming, known as the next-gen. All of its predecessors are known to have a complete package of RPG, and it seems this next-gen console also has its fangs on it.
