As many people know, Square Enix Holding Co, Ltd. is a Japanese video game holding company and entertainment conglomerate. So here are the top 5 worst Square Enix games along with its Metascore.

The Quiet Man is an action-adventure beat ‘em up video game developed by Human Head Studios and published by Square Enix for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. The game’s story is told through lengthy full motion video sequences, some of which feature live-action actors, inserted between the gameplay sequences, and it features a deaf protagonist, which is reflected by having most of the events.

A young and deaf boy named Dane interrupts a quarrel between his friend, Taye and Isaac that results in Dane’s mother getting shot when Taye and Isaac struggle over a gun. Isaac takes credit for the killing and is arrested while Taye runs away. Dane’s policeman father blames him for his wife’s death and becomes abusive. Traumatized by these events, Dane makes up a character in his drawing named “The Quiet Man”.

1. Final Fantasy All the Bravest (Score: 25)

Final Fantasy All the Bravest Logo

Final Fantasy All the Bravest is a game in the Final Fantasy series which was developed by BitGroove and published by Square Enix in 2013. Maybe it is not very popular with console players since it is made for Android and iOS exclusively. The game is a free-to-play 2D touch-action RPG and features traditional jobs, characters, monsters, locations, and musics from the Final Fantasy series.

Instead of delivering a good, creative, and enjoyable experience of playing Final Fantasy series on the go, what we got instead was a shallow title featuring some lazily-made gameplay. The gameplay mechanics allows all players to simply tap the screen, but nothing than that. It also doesn’t help that All the Bravest forces players to spend over $50 to actually get the full experience.

So it seems that even the great and mighty Square Enix also has some unpopular games. Surprisingly, among all the games above vary in genres, the number one spot goes to RPG, which is also my choice among the other genres. So this time I would pick Final Fantasy All the Bravest since it is a RPG, but sadly it has to be in one of the worst Square Enix games ever made.
