Final Fantasy VII Remake Play Arts Kai: Sephiroth

Dissidia Final Fantasy Arcade - Sephiroth

After 23 years, Square Enix decided to create a remake of the original Final Fantasy VII in 1997, entitled Final Fantasy VII Remake. Mainly, the story tells us about how the world has fallen under the dominion of the Shinra Electric Power Company, and how an anti-Shinra rebel group calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their campaign of resistance.

Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, will be the main protagonist of this game. And he will face his arch-enemy, none other than his fellow elite SOLDIER, Sephiroth. The legendary First Class SOLDIER and Cloud’s nemesis will join the fray now, not only as an in-game character, but as Final Fantasy VII Remake Play Arts Kai!

Talking about Cloud and Aerith as the protagonists, without mentioning the main antagonist would be rude. And the man behind this action figure is none other than Tetsuya Nomura and Roberto Ferrari who have painstakingly recreated all the fine details you can see in Sephiroth: his enigmatic expression, his slender but brawny figure, to all of his other intricate decorations.

When you see Sephiroth, some things you might easily notice probably are his silver long hair and his signature weapon: Masamune. In this Play Arts Kai, his long silver hair utilizes a translucent piece and is well-articulated, making it very possible for dynamic posing. This action figure comes in 30cm x 27cm x 13cm, enough to make every detail clearly visible while striking poses.

Aside from the figure and his trusty Masamune, you will get Sephiroth’s additional headpiece with his eyes closed along with six interchangeable hands parts. The creator claimed that this Sephiroth’s exceptional figure can shows off the powerful presence of an infamous war hero and enigmatic villain. And knowing that Nomura himself is the designer, I don’t think we have a reason to complain.
