MOBA or also known as Multiplayer Online Battle Arena has their own popularity now. The proof is that mobile devices now are providing its users with a lot of game from this genre. But for RPG lover like me, playing MOBA is not enough. No matter how good the MOBA is, it can’t replace the fun of playing RPG. So let me introduce you to these latest mobile RPG that could overcome the massive domination of MOBA.

1. Black Desert Mobile (Android, iOS)

Black Desert is a MMORPG developed by a Korean company, Pearl Abyss which was released in January, 2018 for Southeast Asia region (PC). Being unable to be played worldwide, the developer decided to bring the mobile version globally in 2019. Not only graphical beauty, Black Desert Mobile offers you a realistic gameplay mechanic along with dozen of classes that you can try.

2. Perfect World Mobile (Android)

Perfect World Mobile is a MMORPG published by Perfect World Entertainment for mobile devices in 2019. Perfect World Mobile is an authentic experience bringing new life to the denizens and vast area of the familiar Perfect Continent. Known for its stunning environments, unique flight system, and rich character customization, the creator tries to bring back the glory of the Perfect World (PC) into mobile devices.

3. OverHit (Android, iOS)

OverHit is a turn-based collectible RPG published by Nexon in 2019 for mobile devices. Using the Unreal Engine 4 to deliver maximum quality of graphics, this game successfully amazed RPG lovers. With over 120 heroes that can be collected, this game also has signature skill system where two heroes can combine their skills. For PvP lovers, OverHit offers you the exciting real-time PvP system.

4. Digimon ReArise (Android, iOS)

Digimon ReArise is a RPG developed and published by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment for Android and iOS. The game was initially released in 2018, with the western version was fully released on October 2019. In this game, the Digimon can only have one digivolution. The digivolution is chosen by the game when the Digimon is acquired. The digivolution is available up to Mega level.

The highlighted Digimon in this game is Pusurimon, having a form similar to porcupine that fights an unknown enemy called Spirals. Pusurimon protects the heroes and evolved to a Rookie level electric-element Digimon: Herissmon. There is also DigiTown and permanent facilities in-game include a house, a training center, 2 incubators, and score board to make things more fun and challenging.

5. Avabel Lupinus (Android, iOS)

Avabel Lupinus is a MMORPG developed by Asobimo, a Japanese game developer known to have produced great games such as Toram Online, Celes Arca, Alchemia Story and many more. Avabel Lupinus used an open world gameplay with anime-style character design. So far there are 8 classes that you can choose and this game shares similar mechanics with Toram Online but with more advance approach.

6. Last Cloudia (Android, iOS)

Last Cloudia is a RPG developed and published by Aidis for mobile devices in 2019. The English version has been released in the United States and Canada on October 2019. Classified as strategy RPG just like Brave Exvius, this game gives different feels and gameplay mechanism. As a strategy RPG, Last Cloudia is featured with PvP and PvE system wrapped in a game with an interesting plot.

Playing MOBA is exciting and also time consuming just like RPG. But even if we are addicted with it, it still can’t replace RPG. As a Digimon lover, I’m paying attention to Digimon ReArise, but Last Cloudia also caught my attention. For a classic RPG lover like me, the graphics somehow remind me of classic RPG, and hopefully the gameplay too. But of course, the latest games are always better in appearance.
