6 Best Action MMORPG of All Time (Part 2)

Okay, last week you already know the first part of the best action MMORPG worth to play. Although I’m not a real fan of MMORPG, but when it has action elements in it I might think twice about being not a fan.  In the first part we have 6 best action MMORPG ever with the exciting combat elements, so now it is time to reveal the other 6 best action MMORPG of all time (part 2).

1. The Elder Scrolls Online (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia)

The Elder Scrolls Online is a MMORPG developed by ZeniMax Online Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game was released for Microsoft Windows and OS X in 2014 as a part of The Elder Scrolls series. The Elder Scrolls Online was said to be able to attract both the veteran and newbie gamers for its realistic visual, vast world, and character selections with skill trees included.

The game is set in the continent of Tamriel and features a storyline indirectly connected with the other games in The Elder Scrolls games. The gameplay is mostly non-linear, with a mixture of quests, random events, and free-roaming exploration of the world. Players are able to play as ten different races divided to human, elves, and bestial races and choose one of the six classes available.

2. Blade & Soul (Android, iOS, PC)

Blade & Soul is a MMORPG developed and published by NCSoft. Unlike most online games, this MMORPG offers you an adventure in the martial arts world. With that uniqueness, this MMORPG promises you a different gameplay from the other online games. With all the differences it have, it successfully astonished the online gamer and made it as one of the most played MMORPG right now.

Blade and Soul offers a skill-based action combat system using the player’s ability to properly time attacks and adapt to situations with the use of limited dodges and blocks. Small-scale arenas, especially 1v1s, test the player’s skills and judgement with invulnerability frames and critically timed abilities.

3. Black Desert Online (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC)

Black Desert Online is a sandbox-oriented fantasy MMORPG developed by Korean company Pearl Abyss and originally published for PC in 2015. In 2018 it was re-released and known as Black Desert Remastered with improved graphics quality. There are also the mobile version known as Black Desert Mobile (2019) and PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version known simply as Black Desert (2019).

Black Desert Online takes place in a high fantasy setting and revolves around the conflict between the two rival nations, the Republic of Calpheon and the Kingdom of Valencia. In this game, you can grind for level as much as you like through action based combat and doing sidequests to get interesting rewards such as weapons and armors in a world with beautiful environment.

4. RaiderZ (PC)

RaiderZ was a MMORPG developed by the now defunct Korean developer MAIET Entertainment and published in North America in 2012 by Perfect World Entertainment. RaiderZ takes place in the once prosperous and powerful kingdom of Rendel that is being overrun by marauding monsters. The game offers a complex and impressive combat system that was ahead of its time.

5. Dragon Nest (PC)

Dragon Nest is a free-to-play fantasy MMORPG developed by Eyedentity and currently available in different regions and languages since 2010. Dragon Nest is a fantasy MMORPG set in the beautiful world of Alteia, created by the goddess Altea. The game’s story incorporates the history of Alteia and the dragon slayer heroes. This MMORPG receives new content, balance patches, and cash shop items on a monthly basis.

6. Vindictus (PC)

Vindictus is an action MMORPG created by devCAT, an internal studio of Korean free-to-play game publisher Nexon. Vindictus is a prequel to the MMORPG Mabinogi, and also known as Mabinogi Heroes in Asia. Vindictus takes place in the same setting used in Mabinogi, but is placed chronologically several hundred years prior to the first game, during a period of war and strive.

Those action MMORPG above are other great games aside from the first six from last week. Again, still the same as the first six those MMORPG are some of the best at its time, added with action element. Since I have played Dragon Nest before, I would vote for it. I have to admit that the simplicity and exciting combat make me changed my mind and got addicted, even as a non-MMORPG lover.
