Aside from the Engine Blade from Final Fantasy XV appearing in NieR: Automata, Cypress Stick from the Dragon Quest series will also appear in the game as Square Enix announced NieR: Automata to collaborate with Dragon Quest series, as announced in the livestream from Jump Festa in Tokyo.
The floating numbers that shows the damage will appear in the same style as it appears in the Dragon Quest series.
On the other note, Sega detailed the crossover project between NieR: Automata and Phantasy Star Online 2 that was teased by Square Enix earlier. The collaboration starts with Phantasy Star Online 2 in March 2017 on the Japanese servers. Hairstyles, costumes, weapon appearances, and also lobby actions of NieR: Automata characters will be added to the online game to replicate the characters. All three main characters of NieR: Automata will also be included, namely YorHa 2B, 9S, and A2.
There has been no words on when and what are the contents from Phantasy Star Online 2 that will appear in NieR: Automata. We shall wait for further information regarding this matter.
NieR: Automata will be available for PlayStation 4 on February 23, 2017 in Japan, March 7, 2017 in North America, and March 10, 2017 in Europe and Australia. The PC version will release sometime in 2017.
