Final Fantasy XIV Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida hosted a Live Letter at E3 2017, showcasing the newest primal Susano, which will be made available in the Stormblood expansion. He also shared some detail about the new swimming feature that will be implemented.
The video above showcases a quick glance at Susano. Yoshida mentioned that players will encounter Susano pretty early in the expansion, being the reason why it is level 63.
Next up, Yoshida showed the swimming and diving feature. He also mentioned that a certain partt of the water area in Costa Del Sol will be updated so that players can swim there.
Square Enix also released a new video, showing the new gears that will be made available in the Stormblood expansion. The Genji armors that has made several appearances in previous Final Fantasy titles will also be added into Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood as a reward from the Omega raid series.
Yoshida also explained the post-launch schedule for Stormblood. 2 weeks after the release of Stormblood, the game will enter patch 4.01, in which the Omega raid series will be available. 2 weeks after that, patch 4.05 will be live, and the savage difficulty of the raid series will be available, as well as The Lost Canals of Uznair, and a new Tomestone.
Lastly, Square Enix will be holding Fly the Falcon Mount Campaign, which will reward players who have registered a copy of Stormblood for 90 days with a brand new flying mount. This, and more campaign to follow will replace the now-discontinued veteran rewards.
