Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida showed a sneak peek of Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood in the official forum, showing the jobs’ new action, as well as a glimpse at the new areas. Not only that, Final Fantasy XIV will also be getting a PlayStation 4 Pro support.
The PS4 Pro support will be available alongside with the release of Stormblood, which means June 20, or even June 16 by the time early access is available. The support allows you to choose between resolution-oriented setting (same frame rate, higher resolution) or frame rate-oriented setting (higher frame rate, retaining 1080p resolution).
Though it is not mentioned whether there will be a feature to lock frame rate with the former setting, Yoshida said that players should be able to experience stable 60 FPS.
On the other note, here are the screenshots that Yoshida showed in the official forum.

Good night Zzz…
A few hours later, Yoshida added another post in the forum thread.
Here’s three new pics for today. Tomorrow I’ll be out of the office, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to upload more. I did some checks on red mage, dragoon, and bard (and a few others, but I’ll leave them for another day).
Red mage action in group pose. This place is…
The morning sunrise at the Ruby Sea was beautiful, so here’s one with dragoon.
And here’s a bard action screenshot during sunset in the Azim Steppe.
I haven’t done any special touch-up on these screenshots, but think they turned out nicely!
(Oh and the bard screenshot isn’t in her underwear lol)
Good night. Zzz…
Yoshida made another post in the Japanese forum, showing the tanks’ new action.
